The Swedish company SIGMA MECER offers since more than 20 years liquid to liquid extraction experience. The SIGMA MECER process (patented) use a solvent to extract copper from alkaline etching chemistry to allow close loop utilization of the chemistry. Nowadays, more than 90 systems are in use world wide, several being installed in France : CIG, CIG2, DELTA, SOCIMET, SAFEL, SOS ELECTRONIC, Working in close loop, the SIGMA MECER process limits waste treatment needs by recycling both the alkaline etching chemistry and the rinse water. The SIGMA MECER works "off line" using four buffer tanks :
Fully controlled by a PLC, the SIGMA MECER equipment can process spent etchant or spent rinse water when the etching line is stopped. Therefore, working during the night or the week end allows optimization of the equipment working time. The SIGMA MECER equipment can perfectly be integrated with existing alkaline etching lines, the only modification to be done consist in the replenisher modification to a rinse module. Don't panic, our FSE will do it on site during the installation ! Several capacity are available, talking about yearly replenisher consumption,
