Three type of mechanical surface preparation are available for printed circuit boards :

• Brushing,
• Pumice jet scrubbers without brushes,
• Brushing with addition of pumice or alumina,

PSE offer different type of brushes for brushing application with addition of pumice or alumina :

• Loose nylon spiral roller,
• Punched nylon rollers.

For the loose nylon spiral roller, each company has it's own replacement rate for brushes. So PSE developed two type of brushes :

• The first one with zinc plated strip less expensive, acceptable for customer replacing qiet often the brushes of the machine (at least every four months).
• The second one with stainless steel strip more expensive but allowing a higher resistance to corrosion.
